Bible segment (read along with The Bible Project):
Passage: Proverbs 7-9
Translation: ESV (English Standard Version)
Words: ~1329

Apologetics/reflections segment:

Personhood: The unique status shared by human beings, angels and God that involves the power to think, act and value. Traditional theories of personhood stress that persons are substances of a rational nature. More contemporary theories emphasize the ability to act and have emotions, and these often link personhood to the ability to use language and relations to other persons. Many debates in ethics, such as the moral status of the fetus, hinge on views of personhood and on when personhood begins and ends for humans. See also identity, personal; personalism; self.

Wisdom segment:
Passage: Psalm 150
Translation: ESV (English Standard Version)
Words: ~98

Watch our overview video on the book of Proverbs, which breaks down the literary design of the book and its flow of thought. The book of Proverbs invites people to live with wisdom and in the fear of the Lord in order to experience the good life. #Proverbs #TheBibleProject #BibleVideo
This book is the accumulation of wisdom from generations of godly insightful people. It promotes a life of virtue and "fear of the Lord," so that you can truly experience the good life. Proverbs is one of the three books that explore these themes of biblical wisdom. #Proverbs #Wisdom #BibleVideo
