Lead:

We’re all goers or senders, but it’s all Kingdom work.

Intro:

If 1 John was written to a church dealing with false teachers, and 2 John is to an unnamed lady and her kids, 3 John is to a dude named Gaius. And one factoid that I didn’t mention yesterday, it’s likely that this letter was limited to one sheet of the paper of that day called “parchment.” It wasn’t cheap in the way we think of paper as a commodity, and John again says that he’s got more to say than he’s going to write. This could be why.

Like yesterday, I want you to listen for something…John talks about missionaries, and in one of my favorite lines, he mentions the nature of the work of people on the home front. Keep your ear out for that.
