Lead: C.S. Lewis famously said, “Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” But if we’re not listening to His voice, suffering will lie to you.

Intro: Today in Job, God speaks. The message is pretty simple: “Uh, you act as though you’re the all-powerful, all-knowing one. You’d judge me?” I confess: I’ve been guilty of doing just that sometimes. We all have. When we ask “How could a good god let all this suffering happen?”, we’re making a moral judgment on God’s character. Today let’s reflect on letting Him be God.
